ESG Newsletter at Autorola

Welcome to the second edition of our ESG Newsletter — sharing the latest milestones and developments from our ongoing ESG work across the Group.

A message from our CFO — Peter Bisgaard

Welcome to this second edition of our ESG Newsletter — and thank you for the positive feedback on the first edition.

We continue to improve the way we work with ESG reporting across the Group. This includes refining how we collect and structure environmental data to create greater transparency that allows us to continue our journey moving from baseline to operational maturity.

In this edition, we share some of the milestones and developments from our ongoing ESG work — and we will continue to keep you updated on what we do and why it matters.

Strengthening our ESG reporting approach

The next phase of our ESG work focuses on improving the quality, structure and usability of our environmental data. Over the past year, considerable work has gone into improving how this data is consolidated and structured. Today, the reporting framework is:

  • Consolidated at Group level
  • Structured in a more consistent and uniform way
  • Better documented and easier to explain
  • Designed to support transparency and future reporting requirements

This has helped reduce reporting complexity across the organisation while improving consistency and data quality.

Importantly, the work is also helping shift ESG reporting from primarily being a manual data collection exercise toward becoming a more valuable management and decision-support tool for the business.

From local responsibility to a more centralised HQ approach

One of the biggest operational changes during the past year has been the way environmental ESG reporting is managed internally.

Previously, much of the environmental data collection was handled locally across subsidiaries. While this created engagement across markets, it also resulted in time-consuming manual processes, varying reporting methods and significant follow-up work.

Today, the process is more centralised and coordinated from HQ with clearer ownership, standards and governance structures.

This transition has created several improvements across the organisation:

  • Better and more consistent data quality
  • Less manual work and fewer reporting errors
  • Clearer ownership and reporting structures
  • Time savings across teams and functions
  • Better conditions for analysis and management dialogue

For employees involved in reporting and operational processes, this has also created a simpler and more structured way of working with ESG data.

This insight creates a stronger basis for assessing business impact and allows us to:

  • Understand and explain developments in our emissions
  • Prioritise the most relevant initiatives and focus areas
  • Improve transparency across the organisation
  • Support management discussions and decision-making
  • Prepare for future ESG and reporting requirements

This is an important step in turning ESG data into business insight and ensuring that sustainability reporting becomes a meaningful business tool — not simply a reporting exercise.

Did you know that Autorola's ESG work is independently assessed through EcoVadis, a globally recognised sustainability platform?

EcoVadisAutorola is assessed by EcoVadis — a globally recognised platform that evaluates companies' sustainability performance across environmental, social and governance topics.

The assessment provides an independent and evidence-based view of how we manage ESG across our global operations. It also helps develop the way we work with policies, processes and documentation across the Group.

For our customers and partners, this means working with a company that actively documents and develops its ESG efforts while supporting responsible business practices across the value chain.

We use EcoVadis as an important tool to continuously monitor and develop our ESG work. The annual assessment helps us monitor progress, improve internal processes and stay aligned with international standards and increasing stakeholder expectations.

Our participation in EcoVadis also helps us:

  • Provide transparent and credible ESG insights to customers and partners
  • Support customers in meeting their own ESG and compliance requirements
  • Respond to increasing ESG expectations in international procurement processes
  • Identify improvement areas and prioritise actions across the organisation
  • Reinforce trust and accountability in how we operate

We will continue to share progress and insights as our work evolves.
